March is Women’s History Month, a time when we celebrate and honor the contributions and achievements of women throughout history. The month-long observance dates back to 1987 when Congress declared March as Women’s History Month. Since then, the celebration has grown to include events and activities that recognize the role women have played in shaping our world. Women’s History Month provides an opportunity to reflect on the struggles and triumphs of women throughout time. It is a month to recognize the significant contributions women have made in all areas of life, including politics, science, art, education, and more. It is a way for society to acknowledge the progress that has been made and to continue working towards greater gender equality.
