Inglorious Basterds is a biopic film that made its debut in 2009. This film cost about 70 million dollars to make and ended up making about 321 million dollars at the box office. This movie made almost 5 times its budget so it’s safe to say that this film was very popular. Part of the reason this film was so popular was that it was made by Quentin Tarantino. Quentin Tarantino is one of the most famous modern-day directors. He’s made popular films like Django, the Kill Bill movies, and The Hateful Eight. Quentin Tarantino has a super unique filmmaking style that you can see all throughout this film. Inglorious Basterds is a reimagining of World War II. It follows the inglorious basterds, an allied team that takes out Nazi soldiers. They are tasked with taking out the leaders of the Third Reich. If you haven’t yet watched this film, I highly recommend you do so because it’s an interesting one.
