Crisp winds, the smell of a pumpkin spice latte from Starbucks in the air, leaves turning orange and yellow, the most superior time of the year is here. Of course that time of the year has to be autumn a.k.a. Spooky season! I think we can all agree that this is the best time for kids to be whatever they want to be and candies being passed out.
But most importantly, the feeling of being scared. This is the time to get with friends and watch horror movies together. We all know what makes a scary movie a TRUE horror film classic.
Ghost face did it. So did Micheal Myers. Chucky the killer doll, Freddy Krueger, Carrie White’s Mother, and of course Jason Voorhees.
Yes, they all unlocked the secret of becoming the most evil and diabolical serial killers in cinema history: knives.
Ah yes, knives. What a classic way to give the audience a good scare. They’ve been around for many years and are still well known in horror movies today! Like what Chucky always says “A true classic never goes out of style.”
Who wouldn’t agree with this quote from a horror legend? Some other thing that’ll make you scream are clowns. Clowns are the #1 topic in scary movies right now. Stephen King’s IT has changed the game in horror to scare millions of people including children, teens, and even adults. How cool is that? Horror films are perfect when you want to be spooked on Halloween or just anytime of the year. But when you hear the phone ringing, never answer the question “What’s your favorite scary movie?” or follow a red balloon into the sewer; It will haunt you forever.
