Inadequate Supply of Corona Tests in Communities

Due to the global pandemic of the Corona virus, many people are worried about the disparities of virus testing. Some communities in Ohio have stated they have more than enough tests for the virus, while others have come forward to announce that many of their people have not been able to get tested due to their supply being very low. In Paulding County, testing isn’t available for all of its residents. Instead, residents with insurance and those who can pay out of pocket are able to get tested. A lot of communities simply say that if a resident wants a test, a test will be available. Although in Summit County, they are only allowing residents that show Corona virus symptoms to get tested. A representative in Summit County confirmed they do not have the lab capacity to do mass testing, so they can only have certain people be tested. Many representatives are hoping to see an improvement in the number of testing that can be administered to the residents.
