Around this time of year, it becomes harder for low-income families to buy gifts for their children. Our school has an amazing, inspiring club that does a lot for the community. This club is called the Empowering Women’s Club. Here on campus, they are having a toy drive to donate to organizations that give brand new toys to the less fortunate. This is a great way to get involved with the community and a great way to spread Christmas joy. I have participated in lots of toy drives and other community events that help others, and it feels so great to be doing something for someone else to make their life a little brighter. So next time there is a toy drive or any community event, participate!
