Senior Jaden Obosky reflected on the team’s year and offered advice for younger athletes, saying, “Try and stay conditioned during the off-season so you are still in shape when you come back in the fall.”

while Junior Lexi Mazon expressed how happy she was the team got closer together.“At the beginning of the season, we were all split up, but over time everyone got really close.” and she shared that she learned “… that it’s okay to make mistakes and that when you do make them, to forget about them and not let them affect you.”
The Boys Varsity team posted an 18-13 overall record with a 5–5 league finish. They earned several high scoring wins, including multiple victories over Monache, which led to strong offensive potential and growing overall as a team. Senior Adan Lozano also reflected on the season’s lessons, emphasizing teamwork and preparation. “A lesson I’ll take moving forward is to make sure a team’s goals are all the same,” he said. “Always be prepared for the unexpected.
Fellow Senior Carson Holliday, one of the team’s top scorers, also shared his perspective on the team’s growth “At the start of the season we all thought it would be a rebuild year and we would just win a few games, but what changed the most is we all played with heart. We played for the love of the game, and that’s why we had a winning season and a good run.”
Holliday added that he learned the importance of leadership, saying, “I learned how to work with the team and keep the team’s head in the game even when their heads weren’t in the game.” He also offered advice for future athletes saying to “Never give up. When it gets harder, play harder. It never gets easier, so keep working hard always.”
Together, the girls and boys teams showed resilience and steady improvement. The girls postseason success and the boys high scoring performances show off the strengths of the program. With returning players gaining more experience and a strong coaching foundation, El Diamante water polo is positioned to continue building momentum in the coming seasons
