Right now up near Shaver Lake, there has been a vast amount of snow. All the roads are piled up with snow. Also, the highway for now is closed and possibly open on the weekend. This has been more snow than we have seen in a long time in this area. Up at the ski resort China Peak, the snow is great and even better than it has been in the past. As of now, it is very hard to get up to the ski resort because of all the snow and it is a 50/50 chance that the highway will be opened this weekend. This weekend for skiing or snowboarding will definitely be one of the best days to go all year because of all of the snowfall that has occurred. If the highway is open drive safely and make sure to maintain a slower speed because of the ice and snow.
