Coalinga, a spot in California close to Kettleman City, is about to run out of water. It is said that in two months it will be completely out of water. To start maintaining water it will cost the city millions of dollars to obtain the necessary water. The city hasn’t gone into water restrictions for 8 years and the last time was in 2014. In 2017 in Coalinga, the water was at about 10,000 acre-feet. But, now it is gone to 2,000 acre-feet which is very concerning because the water will be gone very soon. Another very concerning thing is that one of Coalinga’s firefighters was doing tests on fire hydrants and they were shooting out dirt bricks which a fire hydrant is not supposed to do at all. With all this water loss California water bills have gone up 45% in the span of 5 years. There are many concerning situations going on in Coalinga with their water. But, make sure wherever you live in California or any area make sure that you conserve your water and do not go over your limits.
