Varsity basketball player, Angelina Morales a 17-year-old senior, scored her 1,000th point on January 17 against Shafter and joins the 1,000-point club. Morales explains she did not expect to reach this achievement when she first joined.
“I never even thought it was within my reach to accomplish this achievement,” and “I’m very proud of my achievement because it showcases my hard work”.
Morales had many challenges; her biggest challenge was having to get over her anxiety during games, “The challenges I overcame were getting over my anxiety.”
Morales’ favorite point was her buzzer-beater half-court shot against Redwood. She had this to say about her teammates: “I am proud of my team. Each of my teammates plays hard and made my senior year very memorable”.
