On September 4th, 2001 System of a Down released their most popular record titled “Toxicity”. This album is one of the most iconic metal albums ever. System of a Down is a metal band that formed in California and is well known for their biggest song “Chop Suey!” but has other popular songs like B.Y.O.B and Chic N Stu which aren’t their best but still amazing songs. Toxicity is their second studio album with the self-titled album being obviously their debut record. Toxicity as an album is incredible in many different ways but one of the most highlighted parts of the album is the vocals brought in by none other than Serj Tankian which he has vocals you will never get tired of. The drums and guitars in this record are phenomenal as well with every song just hitting you like a truck. I know this is supposed to be an album review on Toxicity but SOAD themselves are just, in general, amazing and they really outdid themselves with this record, from Prison Song to Aerials this album back to back just brings in harsh and beautiful vocals alongside chaotic instruments. Every track on this album is incredible and I do believe this is one of the best albums of the 2000s and definitely a must-listen for any metal fan.
Overall this album is perfect and I would give it a perfect 10/10 score I have nothing else to say about this record besides the fact that it is absolutely incredible and it’s a very addicting record to listen to during any occasion.
